  1) Recognizing a concern  An individual has a personal concern, or is seeking information on wellness or prevention.   
  2) Reaching out  Seek program information from an EFAP Representative within the work place, or contact the ARS directly.  
  3) Using the program Make an appointment with the ARS.   

 

 

  Powell River Assessment and Resource Service is pleased to provide   assessment, referral and follow-up care for individuals who are experiencing personal or family difficulties in the following general areas:
    Marital conflict  Parent/child conflicts  
    Alcohol and chemical use Financial and legal issues  
    Relational Challenges Emotional/psychological issues
    Critical incident   Gambling  
   The ARS staff are the primary case manager(s) for their clients and assist them in obtaining the best available care.  The ARS will provide short-term counseling when appropriate; however, it is not the intention of the PRARS to duplicate services that are currently offered elsewhere in the community.  To help ensure lasting progress, the ARS provides follow-up counseling and support.
  The PRARS has comprehensive audio-visual library of prevention and intervention materials, which are available to employees, families, retirees and the workplaces.

  The PRARS also assists workplaces with maintaining their EFAPs by providing awareness training sessions.

  Provide access to a variety of resource books, handouts and videos.

 

  Present or coordinate resources for work place educational presentations.
